Prior to founding Greentech Capital Advisors, Jeff was Joint Global Head of Investment Banking at UBS Investment Bank, the securities arm of UBS AG. Jeff directed a Global Investment Banking department with 2006 revenues of over $4.5 billion, representing a number four market share position.

Jeff joined UBS in early 2001 to run the Global Industrial Group. As group head, Jeff led a team that provided investment banking services to companies in the following seven industries: Automotive, Building Materials, Capital Goods, Chemicals, Paper/Packaging, Metals/Mining and Transportation.

In early 2004, Jeff relocated from New York to London as Co-Head of European IBD in order to revitalize the business.  EMEA IBD revenues rose substantially, which resulted in UBS achieving the number two market share position in the region in 2006.  Jeff was appointed the Joint Global Head of Investment Banking in late 2005.

Prior to joining UBS, Jeff was the Co-Head of the Industrial/Large Cap Group at Citigroup's Global Corporate and Investment Bank. He began his investment banking career in 1984 at Drexel Burnham Lambert and joined Salomon Brothers in 1992.

In 1981, he received an AB with Honors from the University of California at Berkeley, where he double-majored in Economics and Political Science and played on Cal's 1980 and 1981 National Championship Rugby Teams.  Jeff received his Master of Business Administration from The Anderson School at UCLA in 1984, with a concentration in Finance. 

Jeff is a Trustee of the University of California, Berkeley Foundation and is Chairman of the Board of the Phoenix House Foundation.
